FIVE DECADES OF SPECIALIZED PRACTICE

JST Design Studio is the continuation of JST Architects, who focused exclusively on the funeral and cemetery industry for five decades before joining the Shanks family in 2022. Under the leadership of Chris Griffiths, who brings more than thirty years of specialized experience, the studio maintains the depth of expertise and long-standing client relationships that have made it a nationally recognized practice.

Memorial spaces serve two equally important functions: honoring the person who has passed, and caring for the family that remains. Both require spaces that feel personal and unhurried rather than institutional or clinical. Operational realities matter too. Flow, privacy, and logistics are core design considerations from the beginning, not afterthoughts.
